There's a loose 'moose' on Fellows Lake and our outdoors reporter finally found it

I finally found the "moose" that's been living on Fellows Lake.

What feels like months ago, I was interviewing Joel Alexander with City Utilities when he asked me if I had seen a "moose" along the Dirt 66: Fellows Lake Trails.

A moose? Surely not. I've been living in Missouri long enough to know that the largest living species in the deer family was not one I'd see willy nilly in the Ozarks.

No, he joked. Metal antlers were attached to a blunted branch that resembled a moose head.

I've had this moose on my mind since, and I finally set out to find it Monday.
