Fans of the Springfield Cardinals will have to tune their radios to a new channel this upcoming season if they want to catch the birds in action.
SummitMedia Springfield announced Thursday morning that it acquired the rights to Springfield Cardinals games heading into the upcoming season. Beginning with Opening Day on April 6, all 138 regular season games and additional postseason games will be broadcast live on 106.7 The River.
“Springfield Cardinals baseball is part of the fiber of our community," Janelle Moffett, SummitMedia Springfield President and General Manager, said in a release. "Their commitment to strengthening communities in the Ozarks and being a local entertainment destination makes it a perfect partnership for 106.
