The trophy case at Stafford High School is getting a little crowded, because the Indians keep filling it up with state championship trophies.
A dominating 77-36 victory over California on Saturday night at JQH Arena gave Strafford a third consecutive state title and capped a perfect 32-0 season.
“It's very special and a very special group of kids,” Strafford coach Steve Frank said. “There is no individuality on this team”
After a bit of a sluggish start in the semifinal on Friday, the Indians wasted no time asserting themselves against California. Madison Chittenden opened the scoring with a 3-pointer and Strafford never looked back.
