Strafford senior plays through possible dislocated shoulder, but Lady Indians' season ends

When two tenacious teams that are ranked No. 1 and 2 meet in the state semifinals, fans can expect great drama.

And a great finish.

They got both – and a lot more – on Thursday afternoon as El Dorado Springs defeated Strafford 46-44 in a semifinal of the Class 3 Show-Me Showdown at JQH Arena.

The matchup had multiple superlative story lines:

– It featured an open 3-point shot by Strafford senior guard Emma Mullings at the final buzzer that just bounced off the front of the rim. “We got the shot we needed,” said coach Dustin Larsen.
