SPARTA — It had been a relatively close game.
Sparta was working its way through the Strafford defense while not giving up its small lead.
Then the Indians, led by junior A.K. Rael, went crazy.
With five minutes to go in the third quarter, Sparta was up 29-27. Over the next 10 minutes of game time, the Indians went on a 25-3 run.
Strafford’s defense shut Sparta down. Things that had worked for the Trojans in the first half were something they could not attempt because Strafford was so quick to jump at passes and trap ball-handlers.
