Stiles' lasting legacy at MSU takes permanent turn

No one who knows is talking about what the Jackie Stiles statue on the south side of JQH Arena looks like.

It’s been in place for weeks, covered by a tarp and a white tent, and will be unveiled in a Sunday ceremony.

The statue likely has the best player in Lady Bears history in mid-jump shot. She made 1,160 field goals in her Missouri State career, from 1997-2001, ending as the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer (3,393 points).

If it’s going to be accurate, maybe the statue should feature a blushing Stiles.

That’s what she expects to happen whenever she walks or drives by.
