The Missouri State women’s soccer team defeated the No. 2 ranked team in the Missouri Valley Conference, University of Northern Iowa, 1-0 at home on Oct. 7.
“This puts us back in the tournament, we still have a chance to come out on top,” senior forward Brooke Zimmerman said “I thought we played one of our better games. We all worked hard; we all knew we needed these three points.”
With a 10-1-1 record and a three game winning streak, UNI fell to MSU within the first 20 minutes of the match.
“I think it shows us that if we come out and play well, we can compete with anybody in the league,” head coach Rob Brewer said.
