With the sports world buzzing from NFL teams protesting during the national anthem, the NBA was drawn in too.
Anthony Tolliver, a veteran NBA player from Springfield, spoke to reporters Monday at the Detroit Pistons' annual media day and shared his thoughts on protests during the anthem.
“Unfortunately a lot of people are offended by them, but a lot of people were offended by people sitting at the lunch counter in the civil rights movement,” Anthony Tolliver told the Detroit Free Press. “A lot of people were offended by Rosa Parks sitting at the back of the bus or the front of the bus or anywhere on the bus.
