New Covenant Academy’s baseball team will wait a day to continue their first ever playoff quest.

The Warriors (22-4) have to wait to continue their postseason journey quest against Northwest (Hughesville), a team from Livingston County that went 20-8 to reach the Class 1 semifinals in the Missouri State High School Activities Association Baseball State Championships.

Thunderstorms and rain Monday in O’Fallon, home to CarShield Field, caused New Covenant’s Monday’s 7 p.m. semifinal game with the Mustangs to be postponed.

The Warriors are now scheduled to play Northwest at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
