It was assumed from the second Missouri State announced Jaden Johnson transferred to the school that he'd be the Bears' next starting quarterback.
On Monday, it finally became official.
Johnson, a Southern Miss transfer, confirmed during a Zoom press conference on Monday that he will start Saturday at Oklahoma.
Johnson is a redshirt-freshman and a previous four-star recruit. He committed to play for Bobby Petrino when he was the head coach at Louisville but switched to Southern Miss after the coach was let go.
Johnson told the News-Leader in April that he didn't think he was going to get the opportunities that were promised to him upon his commitment to Southern Miss.
