Solid defense helps Missouri State survive scare from Wright State

This story will be updated following the postgame interviews with Paul Lusk and select players.

Through the first 12 games of the 2017-18 college basketball season, the Missouri State Bears had some ups and some downs. During some games, like against South Dakota State or Hampton, the Bears looked like an NCAA Tournament team.

In others, like against Georgia Southern or Oral Roberts, Missouri State fell flat and looked like a subpar team.

And, at times, it was difficult to get a grasp on the identity of the ball club.

Head coach Paul Lusk, who picked up the 100th win of his career at Missouri State Tuesday night with the Bears 66-50 victory over Wright State, has always preached playing tough on the defensive end.
