Sechler transferring after being suspended from team

Missouri State pitcher Connor Sechler is transferring after being suspended indefinitely, according to multiple sources.

Head coach Keith Guttin did not have much comment on Sechler, but confirmed that he is transferring in an interview on Dec. 9.

MSU Athletic Communications confirmed to The Standard that Sechler was suspended indefinitely on Sept. 25 for a violation of team rules. It is unclear what team rule or rules were violated.

Sechler, a right-handed pitcher from Bolivar, Missouri, has been one of the Bears’ most dependable arms out of the bullpen since joining the team in 2018.

In 32 appearances his freshman year, he went 7-1 with a 2.
