This was a litmus test for Kickapoo's secondary.

Before the defensive-minded Chiefs locked up with Glendale in a rivalrous Ozarks Conference tilt on Friday, they were eager to match up with one of most explosive passing offenses in Southwest Missouri.

Kickapoo figured that limiting big plays from dual-threat quarterback and Division I recruitCole Feuerbacher was the key to ending its six-year skid against the Falcons.

Kickapoo, which has given up eight or fewer points in all but two games this season, held Glendale's offense scoreless in a 22-2 win on the Falcons' turf, a win where a series of celebratory fireworks burst from behind the west end zone.
