Same ol' Bears: Missouri State slaughtered by No. 7 South Dakota State

Missouri State's downward spiral continues.

After starting the season 4-2, which created hopes of a historic year, the Bears are now losers of four of their last five.

Missouri State didn't stand a chance in its 59-7 loss to FCS No. 7 South Dakota State on Saturday afternoon in Brookings, South Dakota.

MSU (4-5, 2-4) has two remaining games this season. Next week, the Bears host No. 1 North Dakota State before closing out the season against a solid Northern Iowa team that will be playing for its playoff hopes.

Bears head coach Dave Steckel has yet to win more than four games during his four seasons as head coach.
