You’ll have to forgive Missouri State women’s basketball coach Kellie Harper if she gets a little emotional during Saturday’s Senior Day ceremonies.
Harper arrived on the scene for the 2013-14 season, so these last three years have been a program-building ride for her staff and the current trio of seniors – Kenzie Williams, Tyonna Snow and Hillary Chvatal.
Those three have combined for more than 3,600 points, 1,700 rebounds, 600 steals and 150 blocked shots during their careers. You’d be hard-pressed to find a more accomplished and dominant group of seniors on any team.
But for Harper, it has been much more than just the numbers that have measured their careers with the Lady Bears.
