'Right now, I have an F': What we learned from a sit-down with MSU football's Dave Steckel

Missouri State head coach Dave Steckel says a lot is expected out of his players and coaches during the season.

Coaches are the best teachers, according to Steckel. They have to teach life and football skills. The players are expected to have A's.

But as the head coach enters his fourth season, the pressure of an 8-25 record follows him into a critical season for both himself and the football program.

"Right now, I have an F," Steckel said. "That's unacceptable in the world of sports. We have to do a better job at coaching A's.
