It couldn’t have been a better set up for a rivalry game, according to Republic head coach Dustin Baldwin.
And he was right. It was in the mid-70s. The sun was setting. Fans filled the stands for both teams. If it weren’t for the masks in the stands, individual water bottles on the sidelines and the socially distanced band by the south end zone, you wouldn’t have known the difference between a game then and now. It all made the 27-8 win even sweeter.
