BOLIVAR — The Republic girls' basketball team is headed to the state semifinals.
Republic won a 43-40 thriller over Rock Bridge on Saturday afternoon in Bolivar to advance to the Class 5 state semifinals.
Clara Fronaberger split a pair of free throws with 53.9 seconds left to put Republic up 41-40.
After she missed the second free throw, Rock Bridge grabbed the rebound, but a heads-up Delaney Smith grabbed the ball to tie it up with the possession arrow pointing in Republic's favor with 51.
