According to multiple reports, Missouri State is set to hire a controversial head football coach.
FootballScoop.com reported former Baylor football coach Art Briles will be the next football coach of the Missouri State Bears.
Meanwhile, KY3 sports director Chad Plein reported that sources have told him that former Louisville and Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino will be the next head coach.
Missouri State has yet to make anything official. MSU President Clif Smart tweeted Tuesday night that MSU would announce a football coach on Wednesday.
