Report: Shooting guard A.J. James commits to Missouri State basketball

It appears Dana Ford has landed his first commit for the 2020 class.

VirginiaPreps.com writer Matthew Hatfield reported Wednesday afternoon that Ashley 'A.J.' James has verbally committed to play basketball at Missouri State.

James is a 6-foot-4 shooting guard who held offers from East Tennessee State, Fresno State, Murray State, VCU and Saint Louis among others.

James is currently playing basketball as a postgraduate at Hargrave Military Academy, according to the school's website.

He was a two-time first-team All-State selection at Green Run in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
