Report: Missouri State football will open 2020 season at Oklahoma

It will be a matchup of Boomer and Boomer Sooner.

The website FBSchedules.com reported Thursday that Missouri State will open the 2020 football season with a road game against Oklahoma.

The matchup would be the first between Missouri State and the Big 12-powerhouse Sooners.

FBSchedules.com says Missouri State will be paid $600,000 for making the trip to Norman, Oklahoma for the Sept. 5, 2020 showdown.

Missouri State, which competes in the Football Championship Subdivision, finished 3-8 last season.

Oklahoma, a Football Bowl Subdivision team, finished 12-2 last season, won its conference and advanced to the four-team College Football Playoff.
