Missouri State's home opener against Montana will be canceled, according to a report.
The Bears were supposed to host the Griz on Sept. 12 but the Big Sky has canceled its fall football season, according to a report by Stadium's Brett McMurphy.
The cancelation of the game would further open the door for Missouri State to travel to Oklahoma and collect its $600,000 guarantee payment. The Bears and Sooners are scheduled to play on Aug. 29 — but it appears the game will likely be rescheduled.
If the report is found to be true, the Bears' home opener would now be scheduled for Oct.
