Questionable call wipes out Bolivar win. Warrensburg ends Liberators' season shortly after

BOLIVAR — The Liberators appeared to have had a thrilling district semifinal won, but a yellow piece of cloth laid on the field.

Just minutes before, a snap went a few feet over the Warrensburg punter's head deep in his own territory. A few plays later, Bolivar quarterback Bo Banner punched in a touchdown to give the LIberators a 23-20 lead with 1:56 remaining.

One minute of game clock later, Bolivar defensive back Dreven Sharp won inside leverage on a desperation deep ball and intercepted Warrensburg quarterback Eli Nappe's pass. Sharp's interception appeared to have advanced the Liberators to the next round of the district playoffs.
