Missouri State’s football team was on display for the first time this spring in a scrimmage situation on Friday afternoon — and the results were what you would expect from a team with only six practices under its belt.
There were some missed assignments, a couple of turnovers and some dropped passes.
There also was a red zone period where the principals in the Bears’ quarterback competition made things happen.
“Right now, it looks like it’s going to be a heated battle,” Bears coach Dave Steckel said. “Hopefully by the 23rd (the team’s spring game), there will be some separation.
