A dream is becoming a reality Monday night for a Drury Panther.
That's when Trevor Richards, a 2015 graduate of Drury University, is expected to step onto the mound in Miami.
Richards has had to work his way through an independent league and then the Marlins' minor-league affiliate to get to this point. But before all that, he starred on Drury's diamond.
The school said Richards struck out 230 batters as a Panther, which is the second-highest career total of any pitcher at Drury.
