Valparaiso’s record: 9-5, with two decent victories over Utah State and Santa Clara. The Crusaders played a solid non-conference schedule, losing to Purdue, Ball State and Northwestern. In its first Missouri Valley Conference game of the season, Valparaiso fell on the road to Indiana State.
