First off, everyone should congratulate the Missouri State Lady Bears. MSU won the Missouri Valley Conference tournament this past weekend and earned an automatic bid to the WNCAA Tournament.
As for the men’s tournament, Missouri State was nowhere close to earning an invite to participate in the field of 68. However, two other Valley teams will be there. Northern Iowa won the conference tournament for an automatic bid. Wichita State is in the tournament as an at-large team.
For three years I’ve written pieces for The Standard about the NCAA Tournament. The odds of predicting a perfect bracket are astronomical––of course, that never stops me from trying.
