Kickapoo got the tough game it possibly needed on Wednesday night in its quest for a second-consecutive title in the Pink & White Tournament.
After overwhelming opponents in the first two rounds, the Lady Chiefs battled throughout the game in stopping a quick, guard-oriented Cabot (Arkansas) team, 55-43, in a Pink Division semifinal at O’Reilly Family Event Center.
“We beat a good opponent tonight,” said Kickapoo coach Jim Pendergrass.
Star player Bella Fontleroy agrees: “This was a really good game for us.
