Per NCAA rules, college football teams are allowed to have 15 practices in the spring, up to 12 of them with full pads and full contact.
Missouri State coach Dave Steckel wasn’t planning on using all 12 of those this spring.
After what he saw on Friday in a scrimmage at Plaster Field, he’s rethinking that approach.
“I wasn’t going to, but I am now,” the third-year coach said after his team went through some sluggish stretches early in a scrimmage on Friday afternoon at Plaster Field.
“I can’t wait until the next pad practice.
