In a nail-biter, double-overtime home game, the Missouri State women’s soccer team tied Drake University 0-0 on Oct. 17, becoming the only team in the Missouri Valley Conference to deny Drake points this conference season.
In the MVC, a win gives a team three points, a tie gives each team one. The game was MSU’s fifth conference game, the Bears now hold 2-2-1 and 7 points in the conference.
“It’s not that exciting to get a tie, but they’ve played five games in the Valley and we’re the only team to take a point from them,” MSU head coach Rob Brewer said.
