With several special events in the coming weeks, the Springfield-Greene County Park Board has a little something for everyone to finish out summer with some fun.
Park Board Public Information Administrator Jenny Edwards said the main event is already underway with Park Day, which is happening through Sunday.
"The big day is Saturday," Edwards told the News-Leader about the upcoming parade, picnic and car show at Silver Springs Park. "We're just happy to see the event return. It was tough on everyone to cancel it for two years in a row, and we're just really glad that it's come back.
