Overtime goal keeps Bears perfect

The Missouri State men’s soccer team waited until the 106th minute to score the first goal of the game against the University of Nebraska-Omaha on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Senior defenseman Ben Stroud scored off a free kick by sophomore midfielder Jack Denton in double overtime to improve the No. 17 Bears’ record to 8-0-0.

“I had a guy on me, but he lost me and I sprinted towards the goal,” Stroud said. “I was hoping I was going to get in on the end of it, and it hit my thigh and went in the back of the net.
