STILLWATER, Okla. — Missouri State football had been pulling off a lot of firsts since 1990 in 2021.
The Bears won a share of the Missouri Valley Football Conference for the first time since 1990 back in the spring. They also qualified for the postseason for the first time since the same year just a few months ago.
The one thing the Bears still haven't done since 1990? Win a game against an FBS opponent.
Missouri State had its chance to pull off another piece of history in Saturday evening's fall season opener at Oklahoma State, but the nationally-ranked Cowboys were just too much in the end.
