Obediah Church, a senior forward who parted ways with the Missouri State men’s basketball team on Jan. 28, thanked fans, coaches and teammates in a statement from his private personal Twitter account Sunday morning, Feb. 3.
He said in the statement he will still support those still on the team.
“I believe they will do great things, and I fully support them all,” the statement read.
Church’s last game with the Bears was Dec. 18 at Arkansas State. He only played eight minutes and hadn’t been on the bench since. On Jan. 28, head men’s basketball coach Dana Ford released a statement saying Church and the program had parted ways.
