Nixa-native suspended from coaching duties at Grand Valley State after calling Hitler 'a great leader'

Grand Valley State offensive coordinator Morris Berger was suspended on Monday after telling the school newspaper that he'd like to have dinner with Adolf Hitler.

Berger, a Nixa-native who received his bachelor's degree in History from Drury in 2012, was asked by the GVCU student newspaper what historical figure he would have dinner with — living or dead.

His answer?

"This is probably not going to get a good review, but I’m going to say, Adolf Hitler," Berger told the Grand Valley Lanthorn. "It was obviously very sad and he had bad motives, but the way he was able to lead was second-to-none.
