One of the great high school basketball coaches in the area's history is going to call it a career at the conclusion of the boys' basketball season.
Nixa head coach Jay Osborne told his team on Thursday afternoon that he will retire at the conclusion of the 2021-22 season, as was first reported on Sports Talk with Art Hains and Wyatt Wheeler.
Osborne was inducted into the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2015. It came in the same season he celebrated the 50th coaching victory of his career.
