It didn't take long for Kevaris Edgecomb to come to the realization that he wanted to commit to Missouri State.
The three-star Class of 2021 quarterback is from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and grew up near Lamar Jackson. He knew the success Bobby Petrino had in turning Jackson into a Heisman Trophy winner and an eventual NFL MVP.
When the new Missouri State football coach got in contact with Edgecomb in recent weeks, that relationship grew and grew to the point where Edgecomb gave him his verbal commitment.
"It felt like home away home and I didn't even visit the school yet," Edgecomb said in an interview with the News-Leader.
