This story will be updated

One of the great years in Missouri State men's soccer, along with the career of one of the great coaches in university history, has come to an end.

Missouri State (17-2) was upset in the first round of the NCAA Tournament by Creighton (9-7-2) in a 1-0 match on Thursday night at Betty and Bobby Allison South Stadium on MSU's campus.

Creighton scored the match's goal in the 77th minute when Diego Gutierrez found the back of the net.

The loss also marks the end of an era at Missouri State with 30-year head coach Jon Leamy's retirement.
