NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament: Missouri State earns bye, to face Maryland

After winning its first Missouri Valley Conference Tournament title since 1999, the Missouri State men's soccer team is headed back to the NCAA Tournament.

As an automatic qualifier, the Bears were announced as one of the 36 teams on Monday morning to make the field and they will have a first-round bye.

Missouri State (11-1-0) will play Maryland (4-4-2) in the second round. The Terrapins were an at-large selection after placing fourth in the Big Ten this season.

All second-round games will be played on May 2. The entire tournament is taking place in Cary, North Carolina, and the surrounding area.
