The son of perhaps the greatest Missouri State men's basketball player ever was selected with the fifth pick during Thursday night's NBA Draft.
Darius Garland, the son of the legendary Winston Garland, was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the fifth overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Garland was one-and-done in college after playing only five games at Vanderbilt. He tore his meniscus during his fifth game in November. He led the team with 16.2 points per game before the injury.
