Missouri State is one win away from returning to the NCAA Tournament.
The Bears advanced to Sunday's championship with a 7-6 win over Evansville in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament at Hammons Field. With no losses yet in the tournament, the Bears will need to win one of the possible two Sunday games to clinch the league's automatic bid.
Sunday's championship starts at noon. If the winner of Saturday evening's game between Southern Illinois and Evansville beats the Bears in the first game, they will play a winner-take-all championship about 40 minutes afterward.
