In a loaded field of top college players, Missouri State's Alize Johnson stood out.

Johnson was named MVP this week of the college division tournament at the Adidas Global Nations Basketball Experience in Houston, Texas.

The MSU forward led his team, The Bulls, to the tournament title on Sunday night, the university confirmed on Tuesday.

Several highly-touted college players attended the camp, which started on Thursday, including Mizzou freshman Michael Porter Jr. — the presumptive top pick in next year's NBA Draft.

MSU's Johnson, the reigning Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Year, flirted with entering the NBA Draft this offseason before ultimately returning to Missouri State.
