It didn't take long but, apparently, Missouri State has found its next head football coach.
Missouri State President Clif Smart tweeted Tuesday night that the university will announce its next head football coach on Wednesday.
"Tomorrow we announce that one of the best football coaches in America will be leading the Missouri State football program," he tweeted. "If you love football, stay tuned."

It is unclear who that coach is as of Tuesday night.
Missouri State announced Thursday it reached a separation agreement with Dave Steckel.
