Missouri State football will have at least two new things when it takes the field for camp next week — belief and confidence.
Just a few months after the Bears advanced to the FCS Playoffs for the first time since 1990 while claiming a share of the Missouri Valley Football Conference crown along the way, the Bears have earned the right to have expectations going into a season.
"It's going to get better and better each week," second-year head coach Bobby Petrino said during Tuesday's MVFC virtual media day. "We know it's going to be tough."
Petrino and his Bears were picked to finish sixth in the preseason media poll for the program's highest ranking since 2010.
