MSU hoops notes: Dana Ford breaks down new recruits, health of star player Gaige Prim

The storylines going into Dana Ford's third season as Missouri State's head men's basketball coach were supposed to be about the seven newcomers and building pressure for him to succeed.

MSU is coming off a season in which it was picked to win the Missouri Valley Conference. Instead, it was a disappointing season and the team fought to avoid a play-in game at the conference tournament.

But heading into the 2020-21 season, there's so much uncertainty, and most of it doesn't even have to do with basketball because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Ford told reporters during Tuesday's summer MVC summer teleconference that he's not worrying about getting a mostly new team to come together.
