The Bears saw their toughest loss in two years against Bradley University, after major foul trouble and missed opportunities in Peoria, Illinois.
The Braves (15-7, 5-4) defeated Missouri State (15-7, 5-4) on Tuesday, 72-52, the Bears’ largest loss for the 2017-18 season.
Senior Alize Johnson, MSU’s top player, was sent out of the game in the first half after taking two fouls only 90 seconds into the game.
Bradley got off to a 5-0 run at the start, until Bears junior Obediah Church dunked the ball at 16:35.
The Braves’ sophomore super-shooter Darrell Brown capitalized on Johnson’s absence, hitting 12 points through the middle of the half and giving Bradley a 10-point lead over the Bears, 22-11.
