The Missouri State University football team announced Wednesday it had signed 13 new players during the new early signing period in college football.
A news release from the university says the Bears added six junior college transfers and seven high school seniors.
More players are expected to sign with the team during the spring signing period, which begins Feb. 7, according to the release.
The players who signed Wednesday will be part of head coach Dave Steckel's fourth recruiting class at MSU.
Missouri State finished 3-8 this past season, ninth in the Missouri Valley Football Conference standings.
