Missouri State’s women’s soccer team lost 2-0 against Central Arkansas, their second loss of the weekend. Their record falls to 3-2 on the season.
The loss was not for lack of offensive effort. The Bears had 18 shots. Head coach Rob Brewer said that they have been working on this aspect of their game.
“It’s a matter of having the nerve to tuck it in the right way,” Brewer said. “Sometimes you have to risk hitting a ball pretty hard to beat the goalkeeper.”
The shots were spread between many different Bears. Most of the attempts came from sophomore Jordan Eickelman with four shots, junior Kayleigh Putnam and senior Brooke Prondzinski with three shots each.
