Missouri State's big bats blast Arkansas

It didn't put the Bears in the College World Series, but it had to have felt good.

Missouri State (29-14) ended its longest losing streak in two years with a massive offensive game, scoring 12 times in the first five innings on the way to a 14-6 victory over the Razorbacks Tuesday night at Hammons Field.

MSU had 12 hits, drew eight walks and went 7-for-18 with runners in scoring position against a total of eight Arkansas (26-19) hurlers on the night to put an end to a five-game losing streak.

Alex Jefferson finished his night 3-for-4 with three runs batted-in and three runs scored, while Jake Burger came within a double of hitting for the cycle in logging his fifth game this season with at least four RBIs.
