Perhaps the greatest season in Missouri State men's soccer history has reached its end.

The Bears were eliminated in the third round of the NCAA Tournament after a 2-0 loss to seventh-seeded Washington on Thursday afternoon in Cary, North Carolina.

Missouri State's appearance in the Sweet 16 was its first. A 2-1 win over Maryland in the second round was the program's second NCAA Tournament win in program history.

MSU's historic season saw it hang around the Top 10 in the national rankings with its lone regular-season loss coming in the final game against Loyola.
